The Days and Nights of Mike Schmidt: Security Guard - FNAF
Mike Schmidt’s a lot of fun to draw since you get to make up your own mind about his character. My version is that of a 25 year old man-child who never really fell out of love for old Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Restaurant. He goes there on his days off to sit around playing arcade games, stuff his face full of as much pizza as he can, and watch Freddy and his friends put on their show. Of course, everyone takes notice of the out of place adult among the sea of children. He usually can get away with it if he brings his niece with him, but he’s mostly there by himself. (All in the name of free pizza, since he works there.) Of course, even during the day the animatronic Freddy and his crew can’t help but try to scare poor Mike out of his wits. In the instance seen above, we see that Freddy’s sicked Golden Freddy on Mike, but Mike’s too wrapped up in his pizza to take notice of the danger lurking beneath the table.
Another night at Freddy’s, Mike makes his rounds through the now empty (and incredibly cold) restaurant. He checks the doors and windows, helps the janitor put up the chairs, makes sure the games are unplugged, all before Midnight when he has to run back to his office before Freddy and the gang awakens for the night. One night, however, Mike decides to pay a visit to old Captain Foxy in Pirate’s Cove. Pointing the yellowing beam of his flashlight onto Foxy, he saw how torn and rusted with age and neglect the pirate fox had become since that fateful day back in ‘87. “Poor Captain Foxy… You’ve seen better days, haven’t ya, ya old sea fox?” Mike said with a small laugh. “You know, looking at you up close, you’re really not so scary after all.” Just as Mike said this, Midnight struck and Foxy sprang to life with a hearty laugh. “Thank ye for the compliment, lad!” cried the pirate fox, as poor Mike nearly had a heart attack and crashed to the floor with a heavy thud. He slid away quickly on his hands, crying out “P-PLEASE!!! DON’T BITE MY HEAD OFF!!!”

Reblogging this one too. Had fun drawing Mike and his expressions. Could see him having a very elastic facial range of expression. I haven’t seen/found too many versions of Mike who are happy and not kind of bitter at their lives or their job, so I’m trying something different…hopefully…
your versions of Mike and Foxy are so adorable! Foxy’s face made me smile :)
Please listen to this. I know it sounds lame but this song helped me so much gets me through the day. It’s one of the most inspirational and amazing songs I’ve ever listened to. It’s really meaningful and the singer deserves so much more credit.
